If you're using a Mac laptop or desktop from the last five years or so, you should be able to download OS X Mavericks for free just by visiting the Mac App Store. Dec 20, 2013 The odd thing is 10.9 and 10.91 work fast and smooth in my 2009 Mac Pro. On my 2 month old i7 Mini 10.91 works but is too buggy (really slow startups & Mail hangs) I'm restoring 10.9 from Time machine at this very moment. 10.9 only suffered the FW issue for me but after many PRAM resets, reinstalls, permissions repairs I'm tossing in the towel.

Before you upgrade to OS X 10.9 for free, the most important question is whether your Mac hardware is compatible. Once the installation process is complete, a notification will pop up offering to teach you about Mavericks' new features. You should probably click it, especially if you're coming from Snow Leopard or Lion as quite a lot has changed. The most exciting new features in Mavericks are probably the iCloud Keychain, Notifications tweaks, and some cool low-level tech that should improve battery life and performance (Timer Coalescing, App Nap, and Memory Compression). I deleted all previous WTF saved variables and installed fresh, same issue. Not sure how to fix.I'll just add my name to confirm I have the problem too. Ever since updating to the most recent version of Skada, upon logging back into the game, there are no default windows and attempting to create new ones simply fails.
